These terms and conditions govern your use of the Gorman Dynamics website. By accessing and using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms and by all applicable laws. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use this website.
This website is operated by Gorman Dynamics Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 12896721, registered office Unit 6 Mosquito Way, Christchurch, England, BH23 4FN. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Gorman Dynamics Limited.
We may change these terms from time to time without prior notice, so please review this page each time you use the website. This page was last updated on 5 August 2026.
Information on our website
The information and data displayed on our website is, to the best of our knowledge, accurate at the time of publication. However, we provide no guarantees, warranties or assurances that the website is error free, and we reserve the right to make modifications at any time without prior notice.
Our products are precision engineering components that are typically specified and supplied to order. We take all reasonable care to ensure that product details, descriptions and technical specifications on our website are correct. However, specifications are provided for general guidance and may be updated or refined. Final specifications, availability and pricing are confirmed in a written quotation.
Quotations and enquiries
This website operates as a product catalogue and enquiry platform. Product listings, specifications and any indicative pricing do not constitute an offer to sell or a binding quotation.
When you submit a quotation request, CAD request, demo request or other enquiry, you are asking us to provide information or a quotation. Any quotation we provide is subject to our confirmation and to any terms stated within it. A binding contract is only formed when we issue a written order acknowledgement or a signed agreement confirming the supply of products.
CAD files, datasheets and downloads
Where we make CAD files, datasheets, drawings or other technical documents available, these are provided to support the evaluation and specification of our products. They remain our intellectual property, or that of our licensors, and are provided for your internal, non-commercial evaluation use only.
You may not redistribute, resell, publish or use these files to manufacture or procure competing or equivalent products, or share them with third parties, without our prior written consent. Technical documents are provided for guidance and must be verified against a final written quotation before any purchasing or manufacturing decision is made.
Copyright and intellectual property
The copyright in this website belongs to Gorman Dynamics Limited and will at all times remain with us. You may access this website for your own non-commercial use only. You may not copy, publish, modify, transfer, create derivative works from, commercially exploit or otherwise use, in whole or in part, any of the content on this website without our prior written consent.
You may not delete or alter any copyright, trade mark, intellectual property or other legal notices on any part of this website. All product names, brands and trade marks referenced on this website remain the property of their respective owners.
Your conduct
You must use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, the server on which it is hosted, or any connected system.
Please ensure that any details you provide to us through the website are correct and complete, and inform us promptly of any changes.
Availability of the website
We will do our utmost to ensure that the website is available and that transmissions are error free. However, due to the nature of the internet, this cannot be guaranteed. Access to the website may occasionally be suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new features. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such interruption.
We reserve the right to refuse access to the website, remove or edit content, or withdraw any product listing or enquiry facility at our discretion.
Security and your information
We take care to protect your privacy and to keep your information secure. Details of how we collect, use and protect your personal data are set out in our Cookies & Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Where any part of the website requires you to use an account or password, you are responsible for maintaining its confidentiality and for all activity that occurs under it. You should inform us immediately if you believe your credentials have been compromised.
Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content of those websites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
Limitation of liability
The website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations that are not expressly stated in these terms.
We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or from reliance on any information contained in it. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Sale of goods
The following terms apply when you purchase products from us through this website or under a quotation we have issued. Many of our products are specified, configured or manufactured to order.
Orders and our contract
When you place an order, this represents an offer to purchase a product from us. We will send you an acknowledgement confirming receipt of your order. A binding contract is formed only when we send you a written order confirmation accepting your order, or when we begin manufacture or dispatch, whichever is earlier. Any products not included in that confirmation do not form part of the contract.
We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion. If we decline or cancel an order that you have already paid for, we will issue a full refund of the amount paid.
Pricing
Prices for made-to-order products are confirmed in a written quotation and are valid for the period stated in that quotation. Where prices are shown on the website, we take all reasonable care to ensure they are correct, but we cannot confirm the price of a product until your order is accepted. Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude VAT, delivery and any applicable duties or taxes, which will be shown separately.
If we discover an error in the price of products you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and to ask whether you wish to continue at the correct price or cancel the order.
Payment
Payment terms are as stated in your quotation or order confirmation. We may require full or partial payment before commencing manufacture of made-to-order products. Title to the products remains with us until we have received payment in full.
Delivery
We will agree delivery timescales with you at the point of order. Any dates we give are estimates and, while we make every effort to meet them, lead times for precision engineered products can vary. We will not be liable for any delay in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Delivery charges and arrangements, including the applicable terms for international orders, will be confirmed in your quotation or order confirmation. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery.
Returns
If there is any problem with your order, please let us know within 7 days of receiving it. Please contact us before returning any item, quoting your order number, a description of the item, the reason for return and the outcome you would like. Do not return any item until we have responded.
Any agreed return must reach us within 30 days of you receiving your order, unless a longer period applies under your statutory rights. Please return goods in their original or equivalent packaging so that no damage is caused in transit. Until a returned item reaches us it remains your responsibility, so we recommend using a tracked and insured service and marking the package as “Returned Goods”.
Where an item is faulty or we have made an error, we will offer a repair, replacement or refund and will reimburse reasonable return postage. Where an item is not faulty and we have not made an error, the cost of return is your responsibility.
Please note that returns cannot be accepted on custom, configured or made-to-order products unless the item is faulty, as these are manufactured specifically for you. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer buying online, you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This right does not apply to products that are made to your specification or are clearly personalised, which includes most of our made-to-order precision products. Where the right does apply, please contact us for instructions. Unless we delivered the item in error or the item is faulty, you will be responsible for the cost of returning it.
Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights of consumers under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.
International orders and customs
When ordering goods for delivery outside the United Kingdom, you may be subject to import duties and taxes levied once the package reaches its destination. Any such charges are your responsibility, as we have no control over them and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary between countries, so please contact your local customs office for further information. When ordering for delivery outside the UK, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Cross-border deliveries may be subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms or your use of the website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
