TBW Series – Iron Core Linear Motors
TBW Series of Iron Core Linear Motors
The TBW Series iron core linear motor by Tecnotion is a high precision linear motor designed to excel in demanding industrial conditions. Its robust construction suits a wide variety of industries. Using direct drive technology, the TBW Series enhances productivity, accuracy and dynamic performance, eliminating the need for mechanical transmissions such as rack and pinion, belts and speed reducers. The absence of contact between the coil unit and magnets ensures zero mechanical wear. This approach enables slimmer, modular designs while reducing cost, setting a high standard for precision, durability and versatility across industrial applications.
Iron Core Linear Motor
The TBW Series of iron core linear motors from Tecnotion offers a powerful and precise solution across a broad range of applications. These motors deliver high power while maintaining excellent precision and accuracy, and their ability to generate significant continuous force makes them well suited to demanding tasks where substantial thrust is required. Iron core linear motors also dissipate heat efficiently, maintaining performance and reliability under high loading conditions and helping to extend motor life. The result is a reliable, efficient solution for applications that demand both high power and precision.
Integrated Water Cooling
Every motor in the TBW Series features integrated cooling channels, allowing a liquid cooled system to be set up easily and at no additional cost. Water cooling raises continuous force across the range, from 1140 N to 1200 N on the TBW18 and from 2850 N to 3000 N on the TBW45, making the series well suited to sustained high duty cycle applications where heat would otherwise limit output.
Applications for Linear Motors
Precision linear motors are central to applications demanding high levels of accuracy and repeatability. They are widely used in laser cutting, scanning, digital printing, and electronics assembly and inspection. They also feature in processes such as Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) and laser micro-machining, where ultra precision and accurate scan motion are required. In medical and scientific equipment, precision linear motors are relied on for accuracy and repeatability across every cycle.
